![]() I used the digitalriver ISO and integrated the update rollup. Thinking it may be a problem with that specific machine, I loaded NTLite onto my laptop and started from scratch. But, I got another "access is denied" error, this time dealing with the "iaStorA.sys" file. So, I'm now attempting to load that the source files which has the update so that I can do some further customizations and slimming down. I tested it in a VirtualBox VM, and the installation completed sucessfully and the OS seemed to function normally. As stated previously, I was able to integrate the April 2017 rollup updates into an original Microsoft (downloaded from DigitalRiver) Win 7 SP1 ISO. If everything fails and you don't see what could be holding the files, try it inside a freshly installed virtual machine, it must work. If you want, you can do a SHA-1 check on the ISO, search for it to confirm authenticity. I recommend to patch the host OS fully, if it isn't.Īlso each time you retry, make sure to unmount the image first (right-click - Unload), if it wasn't automatically.ītw, not that it matters to this, but you can easily find the official intact Win7 ISO with SP1 in it already, for example this is a great site and many trust it. loading from some kind of synced directory, like Dropbox or Google Drive, while they sync or scan constantly read-only attribute on the image folder and files, or the temp/scratch folder (see about the locations at File-Settings) antivirus scanning in the background (one was even needed to be uninstalled for its effect to be removed) Let's see, these are the reasons for that error reported by other users so far: Also added the File-Settings-Verify image files option. I could have easily made it to ignore that error, but it's better to be safe than sorry. ![]() It is important to note that those WIM mounting errors are reported by the Windows WIM engine, and have nothing to do with the tool used. 6:14 PMĞrror: Image operation aborted, an error has occurred. ![]() 6:13 PM Mounting image: C:\NTLiteTemp\Win7\Sources\install.wim (Windows 7 Ultimate) 6:13 PM Mount dir: C:\NTLiteTemp\NLMount01 6:13 PM Image load C:\NTLiteTemp\Win7\Sources\install.wim (Windows 7 Ultimate) 圆4 Ultimate 6:13 PM - Enumerating logical processors I did not have the forethought to copy the log from the original install.) Here's the text from the log file: (Note, this is after a fresh install of NTLite. Its very disappointing to have just paid for software that I was looking forward to working directly and successfully, only to have it fail on first use. Ultimately, at this point, I'm at an impass. However, once NTLite loads or attempts to load the source files, suddenly many files become marked as Read-only, curiously including the "CIRCoInst.dll" file referrenced in the message. Further, as what perhaps is a mere side-note, I looked at the file attributes of the source directory and discovered that when originally copied they are listed as NOT Read-only. ![]() After, I attempted to load that one into NTLite, and again I got the same error, referrencing the same file. So, inspite of my respect for nuhi, I reinstalled "RT7Lite" and used that to slipstream SP1into a fresh source that I again copied freshly from my original disc. However, whenever I attempted to load the newly SP1 updated source files, I again encountered the same error (and the same file referrenced). So, I extracted all the files afresh from the original "GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD" disc and used NTLite to slipstream SP1, which, according to NTLite, concluded successfully. Now, while I've used that particular source for building ISOs and installing multiple times before (by copying the file prior to working, never working on original directcory), I thought that the files may have been corrupted on my storage drive. (I apologize, I didn't record or remember which file it was.) I made several attempts to complete this task, after having rebooted multiple times, forcing unmounting and cleanup from with DISM, and uninstalling and reinstalling NTLite (costing me 2 online activations), and throught it all the same error. This error occurred, although for that attempt it cited a different file for which access was denied. I downloaded (purchased) the home version of NTLite last night, and immediately attempted to use it to add the April Security Rollup update. Image might be unusable and the editing should be restarted fresh after a reboot.Ĭ:\NTLiteTemp\NLMount01\Windows\System32\CIRCoInst.dll "Image operation aborted, an error has occurred.
